Greg Schatz recently released his eighth album of original music titled, “The Sun is Still Going to Shine.” His eclectic taste is and love of songcraft is evident in his lyrics and music. He plays accordion and piano with his band, the Friggin’ Genuses, featuring longtime collaborators, Paul Santopadre (drums) and Dave Stover (bass), violinist/singer Denise Bonis, and sometimes, when the stars align, guitarist/singer Alex McMurray.
Schatz has also composed and performed music for producer several audio documentary series by producer Eve Abrams, including; Wetlands Radio, Along St. Claude, and Unprisoned, which won a Gabriel Award, and was a Peabody Award finalist.
